Hello everyone,
The in-person game jam the Sheer Cat team had been planning for a long time finally happened. On 7, 8 and 9 August we gathered at Teknopark Ankara and spent 48 hours making games without leaving our desks. It was a wonderful weekend full of sleeplessness and coffee that left every one of us smiling.
What Happened?
Once we announced the theme at the start of the event, everyone set out to build a game from scratch. People writing code, drawing, working on sound and music — a crowd with all kinds of talents met around the same tables. There was no scoring and no pressure to come first; we were simply there to create. At the end of the 48 hours we played all the finished games together and had a great time.
Some people came with their own teams, while others showed up alone and formed a team on the spot — and the teams that came together during the introductions produced some lovely work.
